This evening, the Richmond-Carolina Fire District, in conjunction with the Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire District, conducted a controlled burn, providing valuable training for current officers in command roles, as well as for new and seasoned firefighters in tactics and water supply for wildland firefighting. With the number of wildland and brush fires increasing annually, training of this quality and level is essential.
